Other networks and platforms

The initiatives below are key in the field of research international cooperation and are relevant to EqUIP’s work and objectives.

International platforms on social science and humanities

TAP – Trans-Atlantic Platform on Social Sciences and Humanities

Collaboration between key humanities and social science funders from Brazil, Mexico, the Unites States of America, Canada, and Europe. The Platform will underpin a truly trans-Atlantic network of programme managers, and social sciences and humanities research councils and facilitators.

HERA – Humanities in the European Research Area

A partnership between 21 Humanities Research Councils across Europe and the European Science Foundation (ESF) with the objective of firmly establishing the humanities in the European Research Area and in the European Commission Framework Programmes.

NORFACE – New Opportunities for Research Funding Co-operation in Europe

ERA-NET network, with 15 European countries and Canada as members. Its mission is supporting research in social sciences. Its activities include funding international research projects and organising conferences and seminars in the area of Social Sciences.

Net4Society – transnational co-operation among National Contact Points for Socio-Economic Sciences and the Humanities

International network of National Contact Points (NCPs) for Societal Challenge 6 “Europe in a changing world: inclusive, innovative and reflective societies” in Horizon 2020. NCPs are set up by the European Commission to guide researchers in their quest for EU funding.

International groups of funding agencies

International Group of Funding Agencies for Global Change Research – IGFA Belmont Forum

A forum for national scientific funding agencies to collaborate with each other and develop opportunities for research, addressing the challenges and opportunities of global environmental change.

INDIGO Projects – Inno Indigo & Indigo Policy

INNO INDIGO will focus on scientific collaboration, bringing together funders in order to implement calls for proposals; INDIGO POLICY supports policy dialogues between European Member States, Associated Countries, Indian stakeholders, and the European commission. They are the continuation of New Indigo.

The Indigo projects have recently launched a useful online research tool allowing to find unilateral, bilateral and multilateral cooperation support initiatives between India and EU Member States/H2020 associates. Filters allow to search by country, thematic field, and type of funding.

EURAXESS Links India

Unique pan-European initiative providing access to a complete range of information and support services to researchers wishing to pursue their research careers in Europe or stay connected to it.
