The EqUIP Platform Welcomes Three New Associate Members

The EqUIP platform is expanding! EqUIP is delighted to welcome three new Associate partners to the platform who will be engaged in future activities over the coming months: the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR), the Czech Academy of Science (CAS), and the Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR).

Associate members will have access to all network meetings and activities, with a special budget assigned to cover their attendance and travels expenditures. They are not beneficiaries of EU funds, and are thus not subject to reporting obligations to the European Commission, nor do they have decision making powers, which are reserved for Core Group members, as signatories of the Grant Agreement with the European Commission. The Indian Council of Historical Research is an autonomous organization of the Ministry of Human Resource Development. Its main objectives are: to bring historians together and provide a forum for exchanging  views; to provide a national direction to an objective and scientific writing of history and to provide a rational presentation and interpretation of history; to promote, accelerate and coordinate research in history with a special emphasis on areas which have not received adequate attention so far; to promote and coordinate a balanced distribution of research effort over different areas, and; to elicit support and recognition for historical research from all concerned and ensure the necessary dissemination and use of results.

The Czech Academy of Science (CAS) is a complex network of  54 public research institutions, with a primary mission to conduct basic research in a broad spectrum of the natural, technical and social sciences and the humanities. The academy support both specialised and interdisciplinary research, with the aim of advancing developments in scientific knowledge at the international level, while also taking into account the specific needs of Czech society and national culture. The Academy fosters collaboration with applied research and industry. At the international level, the Academy pursues and promotes the integration of Czech science into an international context through joint international research projects and the exchange of scientists with counterpart institutions abroad.

The Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR) was set up by the Ministry of Education with the following objectives: to review the progress of research within the field of Philosophy and indicate where further research should be promoted; to sponsor or assist projects or programmes of research in Philosophy; to provide financial support to institutions and organizations conducting philosophical research,; to co-ordinate research activities in Philosophy and to encourage a programme of inter-disciplinary research; to collaborate   with other institutions, organizations and agencies for the purpose of promoting  philosophical research , including international institutions and researchers
